For similar reasons, we will generally not place our dogs in households where new owners would be leaving their new dog for long periods each day. Newly adopted dogs need to be given time to build a relationship with their new owners, in their own home.

Being taken to work, dropped off with family, or placed in doggy daycare every day is absolutely fine for well balanced well adjusted dogs, but it’s not what we want for our newly adopted Vizsla Welfare dogs.
