Since 2012 many many hundreds of Vizslas have been surrendered to the charity. The dogs featured here are just a small selection of our favourite success stories, as well as a few of the ones that really tugged at our heart strings. Please come back often to see updates – we have quite a backlog to upload!
Success stories
RUBY ROO – This 11 year old girl came into our care after her owner sadly passed away. Ruby has a lovely vocal range (think opera singing Beagle!) and loves to practice her gentle yowling. Despite her senior years she was definitely NOT ready for the quiet life and is now a seasoned canicross expert who regularly runs half marathons with her wonderful adopter and her new brother Paddy.
Cheeky ‘PUPPY’ – Yes, that’s her real name. And yes, she IS a Vizsla. Well, a half Vizsla. Her other half is Malinois – that’s French for ‘Don’t Get One’! A feisty and sparky adventure dog who was adopted by one of our welfare officers and now spends her days mountain biking and swimming and climbing trees and just generally getting into all sorts of rowdy mischief!
MAJESTIC TED – This handsome big chap stayed with one of our expert trainers for a couple of months and then went to live with one of our repeat adopters where he now spends half the year sampling the country’s best campsites in a luxury motorhome (and occasionally sampling a pilfered steak pie too!) Even the best dog occasionally forgets their manners, right?

HANDSOME DOODLE – A reformed character after a short stint in ‘rehab’ training then several months of foster with one of our Welfare Officers…

ADORABLE ATTI – Short for Atticus, this five month old lad was one of the youngest pups we’ve been asked to rehome. He’s now a gorgeous big hunk…
